The importance of anal training for amazing anal sex

Anal training really is what it sounds like. It is a process of relaxing and stretching the sphincter muscles whilst taking the appropriate time, care and necessary steps to ensure your body is ready for anal play.

It’s about getting your muscles prepared and comfortable for penetration from a larger toy, fingers or a penis.

The point of anal training to help to ease and relax the sphincter muscles so that they are more receptive to letting things through. These are strong muscles that we are working with, and it takes time and care to ensure that your anal play is safe and pleasurable.

Why use an anal training kit?

First off, it’s fun! And it’s also the safest way you can move up to larger toys without pain or harm to your body.

Anal training encompasses working through increasingly larger toys over time. You can do this with any anal toys you like but grabbing a kit makes it much easier as you have everything you need right in front of you. And you know that you are going to be working with a safe increase in size every time you go up to the next plug.

Anal training kits consist of 3 -5 butt plugs. 3 is the most common but some sets do have more. Each of these plugs will graduate in size and you will start with the small one and work your way up to the largest in the pack.

How to use an anal training kit

Now that you know the basics, let’s take a look at how to use an anal training kit.

Before you begin, make sure you explore your body with a finger or a few fingers first to warm yourself up. This will help you to get accustomed to the feeling of having something inside your booty.

Once that feels comfortable, you can start with the smallest plug in your kit.

Start with your narrowest toy (a diameter between 1" – 1.5" is good for beginners). Use a whole lot of lubricant on the toy and around the entrance to the booty then slowly insert the plug into your body. Emphasis on slow! This isn’t time to be thrusting in and out. You want to get the plug in and leave it there.

It might feel a little strange if this is your first time, but it shouldn’t feel painful. If it does, you might need to go back to your fingers to warm up the body more or use more lube.

Use the smallest plug during play until using it feels completely comfortable and pleasurable. Once you find it relatively easy to insert the plug into your body, you can move up to the next size.

There is no real timeline to this, it is all about your own body and what feels good for you. Remember that it should not hurt, and you should never force it!

Pain is a sign that something isn’t right. It could be that you are not sufficiently lubricated or that you haven’t warmed up and relaxed your body enough. If this happens remove the plug and apply more lubricant or try again another day. Today might not the right day for it and that’s fine! Pleasure yourself differently and try again when your body feels right.

Don’t rush! It might take a week or longer of frequent uses before you are comfortable to move up to the next size. Butt play is fun, so enjoy the journey.

Things to remember

Number 1.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint and it is not something you do once, and you are good to go forever! These are muscles that we are working with and just like any other muscles of your body you need to keep using them or you will lose your progress.

If you go for a few days or weeks, you may notice that things start to feel tight again down there. This is the sphincter muscles returning to their tight, strong selves. That’s why you should incorporate anal training into your sexual schedule if you want to keep those muscles relaxed and ready to play.

Number 2.

Don’t forget if your goal is to work your way to your partner's penis, you want to grab a kit where the largest plug has a similar girth. That way you know that by the end of your training you should be able to fit the penis comfortably.

And of course, don’t go too small on the plug. Make sure that the smallest plug in the pack is still going to be large enough to stretch you out.

Number 3.

Time, patience & lube.

Never go from zero to penis and never ever attempt anal play without lubricant! It is an essential step in the butt play process.
